Environmental Mechanical has completed 33 loft/condo projects in downtown Kansas City, in addition to numerous other multifamily projects.  82% of the downtown loft/condo projects were registered historic buildings or in historic districts.  85% of them were Design/Build projects. Pre-construction work included hiring the engineering firm, walking the building, creating the conceptual design, determining what system would fit their proforma, designing and pricing it. Completing over 14 design/build loft projects over the last 8 years, including the Cold Storage Lofts in the historic 450,000 square foot building at 500 East 3rd Street; the 4-story Richards & Conover Lofts, one of the first developments in the River Market West area; and the JI Case, HD Lee and Stuart Hall Lofts, all in the historic Freight House District.
